Napier Heights sits along the Napier Avenue corridor in south Macon, not far from our own yard, and has grown up as a solidly working- and middle-class residential area with easy access to Middle Georgia State University's Macon campus and the shopping along Eisenhower Parkway. Housing here runs from older brick ranch homes built in the 1950s and 60s closer to Napier Avenue itself to newer infill construction on side streets that have filled in over the past couple of decades. Because Napier Heights sits on the flatter ground south of Macon's Fall Line hills, drainage after a hard summer thunderstorm tends to be a bigger practical concern here than the slope issues we run into on the north side of town.

Napier Avenue is the neighborhood's commercial and traffic spine, with residential streets branching off into a mix of 1950s-60s ranch homes and newer infill houses built on lots that were subdivided more recently. Being close to Middle Georgia State University's Macon campus, the area sees a fair amount of rental-property turnover alongside standard homeowner projects. The flatter terrain here means we rarely deal with slope issues, but low spots on some older lots can hold water after a heavy storm, so we check ground conditions before placing a container on soft grass.

On private property — a driveway, a yard, a job site — you will not normally need a permit anywhere in Macon-Bibb County, and that covers the large majority of our Napier Heights deliveries. What matters far more is whether the surface can take the weight and whether the truck can physically get in.

If the container has to sit on a public street or right-of-way in Napier Heights, that usually changes. Check with Macon-Bibb County Consolidated Government before you book, and expect requirements around reflectors, barricades or overnight lighting.
