Lizella is a small unincorporated community out in western Bibb County, a genuine change of pace from Macon's in-town neighborhoods, with working farmland, wooded acreage and a slower, rural character along Highway 19 and Zebulon Road. The area has old roots in the clay and pottery trade that once ran along this stretch of Middle Georgia's red-clay hills, and today it's mostly known as a quiet residential area for people who want more land and distance from downtown while staying within the county. Homes here range from older farmhouses on multi-acre parcels to newer rural-residential construction on gravel or long paved driveways, and because Lizella sits well out from Macon's urban core, septic systems and well water are the norm rather than the exception.

Highway 19 and Zebulon Road carry most of Lizella's through-traffic, with farmhouses, newer rural homes and working acreage spread out along the side roads branching off them. Long driveways, some gravel, are common, and we plan extra time into Lizella deliveries to account for the distance from our yard and the rural roads themselves. Barn and outbuilding removal, along with brush and land-clearing debris, make up a bigger share of the work out here than in Macon's denser neighborhoods, alongside standard farmhouse renovation projects.
